I was recently featured on an episode of Cherry Bomb! The Podcast.
Find out how my grandparents' dusty attic changed my life, why I became possessed to walk around an entire country, my manifesto about instating a 'repair culture' to save the world, and why honeybees activate so much curiosity within.
It's my first time opening up and getting philosophical about the #EarthisanIsland project & to be honest, I'm kind of proud of it. I invite you to take a listen: play it in the background while cooking or during whatever otherwise banal part of your daily routine.
Episode Description:
”Artist Renée Ricciardi shares with me her “Earth is an Island” project, where she walked the island of Malta with her camera, exploring the myriad of different cultures and personalities that have populated this cross roads in the Mediterranean Sea.
An avid beekeeper, she also draws parallels to the world through her relationship with her hives. She explains to me her fascination with bees and the world around her.
She is a story teller, with both her words and her photographs exploring what boundaries mean. “We only have one earth.”
Thanks to creator and host Matt Mckee for a great conversation and Suzanne Schultz of Canvas Fine Arts.
